See Telegraph. SUBMISSION (Lat submissio, — sub, under, mittere, to put, — a putting under). Used of persons or things. A putting one’s person or property under the control of another. Brouver v. Cotheal, 10 Barb. (N. Y.) 218. A yielding to authority. A citizen is bound to submit to the laws, a child to his parents, a guardian to his ward. A victor may enforce the submission of his enemy. Every consent involves a submission, but it does not follow that a mere submission involves a consent. 9 C. & P. 722. In Maritime Law.
