Trading Value

A rather vague and variable standard, meaning such value as an ingenious and energetic puffing would lead the buyer to believe he could realize TRADITIO (Lat.) In the Civil Law. Delivery; transfer of possession; a giving possession of a corporeal thing; a derivative mode of acquiring, by which the owner of a corporeal thing, having the right and the will of aliening it, transfers it for a lawful consideration to the receiver. In civil law. The delivery of a thing by the mere consent of the parties; as, when Peter holds the property of Paul as bailee, and afterwards he buys it, it is not necessary that Paul should deliver the property to Pet^r, and he should redeliver it to Paul.
