Transient Merchant

The term has reference rather to the character of the business than to the residence of the merchant. 151 Iowa 221, 226. In an ordinance exacting a license from that class of persons, a transient merchant, trader, dealer, or vendor is one who, for a short space of time locates at a place, 119 Wis. 224; or who carries or transports his goods from house to house or place to place, and makes sales and deliveries of his wares as do other merchants or salesmen. 38 111.
