In England, if a person has in his hands a sum of money subject to a trust, and he does not know who is beneficially entitled to it, he may, instead of incurring the responsibility of paying it to the wrong person, or of instituting an action for the execution of the trust, pay it into court under the trustee relief acts (10 & 11 Vict. c. 96, and 12 & 13 Vict. c. 74).
