continuation award

for purposes of subparagraph (A), the term "continuation award" means a renewal or recompete, awarded at the discretion of the Administrator, for another 5-year project period for a grant, contract, or cooperative agreement under this paragraph that is made up of a base project period of 12 months, with up to 4 option periods of 12 months, subject to continuing program authority, availability of funds, and satisfactory performance by the recipient organization;
