decontamination and decommissioning

Defined in 1 place of the United States Code.

The term “decontamination and decommissioning” means those activities, other than response actions or corrective actions, undertaken to decontaminate and decommission inactive uranium enrichment facilities that have residual radioactive or mixed radioactive and hazardous chemical contamination, including depleted tailings.
