Federal facility
Defined in 4 places across 3 titles of the United States Code.
“Federal facility” means any public building (as defined under section 3301(a) of title 401 and shall include any Federal building or construction project—
(A) on lands in the public domain;
(B) on lands used in connection with Federal programs for agriculture research, recreation, and conservation programs;
(C) on or used in connection with river, harbor, flood control, reclamation, or power projects;
(D) on or used in connection with housing and residential projects;
(E) on military installations (including any fort, camp, post, naval training station, airfield, proving ground, military supply depot, military school, or any similar facility of the Department of Defense);
(F) on installations of the Department of Veteran 2 Affairs used for hospital or domiciliary purposes; or
(G) on lands used in connection with Federal prisons,

The term “Federal facility” means a building or part thereof owned or leased by the Federal Government, where Federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties.

The term “Federal facility” means any building, structure, or fixture or part thereof which is owned by the United States or any Federal agency or which is held by the United States or any Federal agency under a lease-acquisition agreement under which the United States or a Federal agency will receive fee simple title under the terms of such agreement without further negotiation. Such term also applies to facilities related to programs administered by Federal agencies.
