officer candidate

In this section, the term "officer candidate" has the meaning given the term in paragraph (4) of section 3002(b) of this title, as added by section 305(c).

The term “officer candidate” means an individual who is enrolled in the basic officer training program of the Administration and is under consideration for appointment as an officer under section 3021(a)(2)(A) of this title.
