SI PER communem usum loquendi In Intellectu certo sumuntur, talis intellectus praeferendus est. When words are merely equivocal, if by common usage of speech they acquire a certain meaning, such meaning is to be preferred. Calv. Lex. VERBA NIHIL OPERARI MELIUS EST quam absurde.
