where any reservation or limitation shall be made of a use, or property, by way of condition, reversion, remainder, or otherwise, in goods and chattels, the possession whereof shall remain in another, the same shall be taken, as to creditors and purchasers of the persons remaining in possession, to be fraudulent... unless such reservation or limitation... is declared by will or by deed, proved by two witnesses in the general Court, or the Court of the county wherein one of the parties lives, within eight months after the execution thereof.
