In actions of assumpsit it is usual to put in a count, commonly called a common count, for work and labor done and material furnished by the plaintiff for the defendant; and when the work was not done under a special contract the plaintiff will be entitled to recover on the common count for work, labor, and materials. 4 Tyrwh. 43; 2 Carr. & M. 214.
