Hockessin is a census-designated place (CDP) in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. The population was 12,902 at the 2000 census. It is pronounced /ˈhoʊkɛsɨn/. The place name may be derived from the Lenape word "hòkèsa" meaning "pieces of bark" or from a misspelling of "occasion," as pronounced by the Quakers who settled the area originally.
What is class action litigation?
Class actions are lawsuits brought by a representative member(s) of a large group of persons on behalf of all the members of the group who have suffered identical or similar harm for which the same defendant may be liable -- such as a defective product class action against a manufacturer or an employment discrimination class action against a large company.
