(a) A local or state law enforcement agency shall submit to the clearinghouse all missing person reports received by the law enforcement agency that relate to a person who is not located within 48 hours after the first report concerning that person was filed.
(b) For a person under 21 years of age, a local or state law enforcement agency shall (1) transmit a missing person report for entry into the Alaska Public Safety Information Network and the National Crime Information Center computer system as soon as practicable, but not later than two hours after receiving the report; and
(2) as soon as practicable, but not later than 24 hours after the agency learns that the person has been located, request that the information provided under (1) of this subsection be removed from the Alaska Public Safety Information Network and the National Crime Information Center computer system.
