Scope of Article.

Known as the Alabama Uniform Parentage Act

The act spans §§ 26-17-1 to 26-17-905 (109 sections).

This article governs genetic testing of an individual to determine parentage, whether the individual:

(1) voluntarily submits to testing; or

(2) is tested pursuant to an order of the court or the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
