Ala. Code § 35-10-16

Law Governing Applicability.

(Acts 1988, 1st Ex

Mortgages executed prior to January 1, 1989, shall be governed by article 1 of chapter 10, Title 35.

This law shall apply only to mortgages executed after December 31, 1988.
