Ala. Code § 45-40-233.74

If the court having jurisdiction of the case determines the collection and payment of the amounts provided for in Section 45-40-233.73 will impose a definite and significant financial hardship on the dependents of the defendant, the court may waive the collection and payment of the same or any portion thereof.
