Ala. Code § 45-51-21.02

Purpose.

Known as the Montgomery County Wine Franchise Jobs Protection Act

The act spans §§ 45-51-21 to 45-51-21.13 (14 sections).

The legislative intent and purpose of this part is to provide a structure for the business relations between a wholesaler and a supplier of wine in Montgomery County. Regulation in this area within the county is considered necessary for the following reasons:

(1) To maintain stability and healthy competition in the wine industry in Montgomery County.

(2) To provide and maintain a sound, stable, and viable three-tier system of distribution of wine to the public in Montgomery County.

(3) To promote the public health, safety, and welfare.

(4) To preserve and expand jobs in Montgomery County in the wine industry.
