Ala. Code § 45-51A-30

Regulation of Sale of Alcoholic Beverages on Sunday.

(Act 96-610, p. 964, §§ 1, 2.)

(a) The city council or other governing body of the City of Montgomery, by resolution passed by simple majority, may regulate and permit the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages on Sunday after 1 p.m. upon the licensed premises of licensees of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board of the State of Alabama and of the City of Montgomery serving the general public.

(b) The provisions of this section are cumulative and supplemented to the present power and authority of the City of Montgomery, and is not intended to, nor shall it be interpreted so as to repeal any existing power or authority of the City of Montgomery now permitted under the general laws of the state, or under any local or special act of the Legislature.
