Ala. Code § 45-56-70.02

County Commissioner Contracts.

(Act 2002–455, p. 1169, § 1.)

In any year in which the Randolph County Commissioners are to be elected at the general election, the county commission shall be prohibited from entering into any long-term contract within six months prior to the general election, except in emergency situations where the county could not function effectively without a contract. For purposes of this section, long-term contract means a contract for longer than 180 days.
