State-sponsored life insurance program — Definition

Acts 2019, No. 922, § 1.

(1) As used in this section, “state-sponsored life insurance program” means life insurance exclusively offered to the members of the Arkansas National Guard by the National Guard Association of Arkansas.

(2) The Adjutant General is the official sponsor of the Arkansas National Guard state-sponsored life insurance program and shall: Facilitate all efforts to make the state-sponsored life insurance program available to the members of the Arkansas National Guard;

(3) Provide an opportunity for members of the Arkansas National Guard to purchase state-sponsored life insurance program products;

(4) Allow state-sponsored life insurance program representatives to provide members of the Arkansas National Guard with state-sponsored life insurance program briefings during annual training and drill weekends to educate members of the Arkansas National Guard on the benefits of the state-sponsored life insurance program; and

(5) Allow, facilitate, and coordinate requested allotments with the appropriate United States Property and Fiscal Office for purposes of the state-sponsored life insurance program.
