Disposition of funds

(1) The county court is authorized: To turn over to any road or street improvement district organized under this chapter such proportion of the road tax, as may be just and equitable, or any portion of the automobile or gasoline tax turnback fund; and

(2) To contribute the funds in money or scrip to the expense of the improvement from the general revenue of the county as it may deem appropriate.

(3) Any such district is authorized to receive any part of the funds that may be set aside by the United States Government for the improvement of public roads, and any that may hereafter be set aside by the government of this state for aid in the improvement of public roads.

(4) The commissioners of the district and the Arkansas Department of Transportation may secure any of the federal funds for the districts as an improvement of a part of the public roads of the state in which this state has an interest.
