Ark. Code Ann. § 14-51-205

Secretary of board

(1) The board shall elect one (1) of its members as secretary.

(2) The secretary shall: Keep the books and records of the board;

(3) Conduct the correspondence of the board;

(4) Report the evidence in all trials or cause the evidence to be reported, for which the reasonable expense shall be paid by the municipality;

(5) Act as clerk when the board is conducting a trial court;

(6) Work with and act as liaison to the city employee assigned to assist the board; and

(7) Perform any other duties that may be ordered by the board.
