(1) The Crime Victims Reparations Board shall award payment for a healthcare service under this subchapter in the same manner as the medical fee schedule established for workers' compensation claims under § 11-9-517.
(2) The board, a claimant, or a victim is not liable for healthcare service charges in excess of the medical fee schedule under subsection (a) of this section.
(3) A healthcare provider shall accept payment from the board as payment in full for healthcare service charges unless an investigation of the healthcare service charges by the board determines that there is a reasonable healthcare justification for a deviation from the medical fee schedule.
(4) The board may contract with a third-party vendor to process payment for healthcare services under this subchapter.
