Ark. Code Ann. § 17-104-307

Scope

Known as the Perfusionist Licensure Act

The act spans §§ 17–17 (18 sections).

Acts 1999, No. 888, § 14.

This chapter does not apply to:

(1) A person licensed by another health professional licensing board if: The person does not represent to the public, directly or indirectly, that the person is licensed under this chapter; and

(2) The person confines the person's acts or practice to the scope of practice authorized by the other health professional licensing law;

(3) A student enrolled in an accredited perfusion education program if perfusion services performed by the student are: An integral part of the student's course of study; and

(4) Performed under the direct supervision of a licensed perfusionist assigned to supervise the student and who is on duty and immediately available in the assigned patient care area; and

(5) The practice of any qualified perfusionist employed by the United States Government while in the discharge of official duties.
