Ark. Code Ann. § 17-105-115

Title and practice protection

Acts 1999, No. 851, § 15.

(1) Any person not licensed under this chapter is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor and is subject to penalties applicable to the unlicensed practice of medicine if he or she: Holds himself or herself out as a physician assistant;

(2) Uses any combination or abbreviation of the term “physician assistant” to indicate or imply that he or she is a physician assistant; or

(3) Acts as a physician assistant.

(4) An unlicensed physician shall not be permitted to use the title of physician assistant or to practice as a physician assistant unless he or she fulfills the requirements of this chapter.
