Computer and Electronic Recycling Fund

Known as the Revenue Stabilization Law

The act spans §§ 19-5-1001 to 19-5-999 (376 sections).

(1) There is established on the books of the Treasurer of State, the Auditor of State, and the Chief Fiscal Officer of the State a fund to be known as the “Computer and Electronic Recycling Fund”.

(2) The fund shall be administered by the Division of Environmental Quality and may be used to: Promote market research and development grants to determine the most efficient means of collecting, transporting, and processing scrap electronic equipment;

(3) Work with the Department of Finance and Administration and the Marketing and Redistribution Section to establish statewide contracts for computer and electronics recycling and demanufacturing businesses; and

(4) Support and fund other measures necessary to implement and promote the recycling, donation, demanufacturing, or disposal options for computers and electronic equipment.
