Municipal judge filling partial term, etc

Acts 1989, No. 873, § 4.

(1) Any judge of a municipal court who was elected countywide to a partial term left vacant by the death of the former judge and who shall have completed the same and subsequently shall have been elected to and completed four (4) consecutive four-year terms and shall at the time of his or her retirement have attained age fifty (50), upon retirement shall receive retirement benefits for and during the remainder of his or her natural life in an amount equal to one-half (½) of the salary payable to him or her at the time of his or her retirement.

(2) Upon his or her death, his or her surviving spouse shall be entitled for the remainder of his or her natural life, or until he or she remarries, benefits equal to one-half (½) of the retirement benefits which the deceased judge was receiving at the time of his or her death.
