State Technology Council

(1) There is created the State Technology Council to consist of the following members: The Director of the Division of Information Systems or his or her designee who shall act as chair of the council;

(2) The Secretary of the Department of Transformation and Shared Services or his or her designee;

(3) Two (2) members from the private sector appointed by the Governor with knowledge and experience in the management and implementation of information technology; and

(4) Two (2) members from state agencies appointed by the Governor who have knowledge and experience in the management and implementation of information technology.

(5) The council shall be responsible for developing: The information technology standards and specifications for state agencies;

(6) A state information technology plan that shall establish state-level mission, goals, and objectives for the use of information technology; and

(7) Technical standards and specifications to support the state's shared enterprise architecture.

(8) The council may meet as deemed necessary by the chair of the council.

(9) A quorum of the council shall consist of three (3) members.

(10) Members of the council shall serve without compensation.

(11) The chair of the council shall file a quarterly status report with the Governor and the Joint Committee on Advanced Communications and Information Technology.
