Ark. Code Ann. § 27-24-1406

License plate options

Known as the Special License Plate Act

The act spans §§ 27-24-1001 to 27-24-907 (148 sections).

(1) A motor vehicle owner applying for a special license plate under this subchapter may: Have a license plate assigned by the Department of Finance and Administration as provided by law; or

(2) Apply for a special personalized prestige license plate pursuant to §§ 27-14-1101 and 27-14-1102.

(3) A motor vehicle owner who chooses to apply for a special personalized prestige license plate under subdivision (a)(2) of this section shall be required to pay an additional application and renewal fee not to exceed twenty dollars ($20.00).

(4) The use of letters and numbers on a personalized prestige license plate under this section shall be limited by the rules of the Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration.
