Ark. Code Ann. § 27-24-501

Federal government exemption

Known as the Special License Plate Act

The act spans §§ 27–27 (148 sections).

(1) A vehicle shall be exempt from the requirement to exhibit a state license plate if it: Belongs to the federal government; and

(2) Is used by the federal government exclusively for federal government business.

(3) A vehicle that is exempt under subsection (a) of this section is required to exhibit a special license plate that states that the vehicle is owned by the federal government.

(4) The Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration shall approve the design and form of a special license plate used under this section.
