(1) A person commits an offense under this section if he or she knowingly aids another person by: Safeguarding or securing the proceeds of an offense; or
(2) Converting the proceeds of an offense into negotiable funds.
(3) A person violating any provision of this section is guilty of a Class D felony if the conduct of the person aided in violation of this section constitutes a felony of any class.
(4) Otherwise, a violation of this section is a Class A misdemeanor.
