Possession

(1) It is unlawful for any person to possess a substance listed in subsection (b) of this section: With the intent to breathe, inhale, ingest, or use the substance for the purpose of: Causing a condition of intoxication, elation, euphoria, dizziness, stupefaction, or dulling of the senses; or

(2) In any manner changing, distorting, or disturbing his or her audio, visual, or mental processes; or

(3) Who purposely is under the influence of the substance.

(4) This subchapter applies to the following substances: Nitrous oxide, commonly known as “laughing gas”;

(5) Any compound, liquid, or chemical that contains nitrous oxide; or

(6) Any amyl nitrite, commonly known as “poppers” or “snappers”.

(7) Upon conviction, a person who violates this section is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
