(1) Beginning in the 2019-2020 school year, each public school shall provide bleeding control training as a component of a health course to be taught to students in grades nine through twelve (9-12).
(2) The State Board of Education, in consultation with the Department of Health, shall develop the bleeding control training required under this section using instructional materials developed or endorsed by the: American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma;
(3) National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians; or
(4) Department of Health.
(5) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education may promulgate rules to enforce this section.
