Ark. Code Ann. § 6-17-2602

Definitions

As used in this subchapter:

(1) “Educational setting” means the employment setting where the licensed employee works, including without limitation: A public or private school;

(2) An institution of higher education;

(3) An education service cooperative;

(4) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education;

(5) An adult education setting; or

(6) Another agency or organization that employs licensed teachers for educational purposes;

(7) “Professional development” has the same meaning as the meaning given to the term under § 6-17-704; and

(8) “Teaching experience” means the experience gained while working in an educational setting as a teacher, librarian, counselor, administrator, educational consultant, substitute teacher, or other licensed employee.
