Evaluation of open-enrollment public charter schools

Known as the Arkansas Quality Charter Schools Act

(1) The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education shall cause to be conducted an annual evaluation of open-enrollment public charter schools.

(2) An annual evaluation shall include without limitation consideration of: Student scores under the statewide assessment program described in § 6-15-433 [repealed];

(3) Student attendance;

(4) Student grades;

(5) Incidents involving student discipline;

(6) Socioeconomic data on students' families;

(7) Parental satisfaction with the schools;

(8) Student satisfaction with the schools; and

(9) The open-enrollment public charter school's compliance with § 6-23-107.

(10) The authorizer may require the charter holder to appear before the authorizer to discuss the results of the evaluation and to present further information to the authorizer as the authorizer deems necessary.
