Petition

Known as the Adult Maltreatment Custody Act

The act spans §§ 9–9 (24 sections).

Acts 2005, No. 1811, § 1.

A petition shall set forth the following:

(1) The name, address, and if known, the date of birth of the maltreated adult who shall be designated as the respondent;

(2) The maltreated adult's current location;

(3) The name and address of the maltreated adult's closest adult relative, if known;

(4) The facts intended to prove the person to be maltreated.

(5) The facts may be set out in an affidavit attached to the petition and incorporated into the petition; and

(6) The relief requested by the petitioner.
