By resolution, the governing body of a city or town:
1. May sell, lease and dispose of an airport acquired under this article.
2. If an airport acquired under this article is sold, leased or disposed of to the county in which the airport is located, to this state or to the United States or any of its agencies, may sell, lease or dispose of the airport for a nominal consideration without advertising and without following the procedures prescribed by sections 9-402 and 9-403.
