Commission on Teacher Credentialing

Known as the Teacher Credentialing Law

The compensation of the members of the commission who are public employees shall not be reduced by the agency or body by which they are regularly employed for any absence from service occasioned by attendance upon the business of the commission, its committees or subcommittees.

Each school district which employs a member of the commission and which is required to employ a person to replace such member during his attendance at meetings of the commission or any committee or subcommittee thereof, shall be reimbursed from the Teacher Credentials Fund for the cost incurred by employing a replacement.

A private citizen member may be provided from the Teacher Credentials Fund a stipend of up to fifty dollars ($50) per day, exclusive of per diem, for attendance at a meeting of the commission or any committee or subcommittee thereof, if such attendance results in loss of income.
