Equine Protection: Enforcement

Known as the Equine Protection Act

The act spans §§ 24101–24134 (35 sections).

Added by Stats. 1991, Ch. 747, Sec. 2.

For purposes of this chapter:

(a) “Animal” means a horse, pony, mule, or burro.

(b) “Program” means the program of equine protection and identification of the department.

(c) “Slaughter” means to kill an animal and prepare it for consumption by animals or human beings.
