Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 55601, every processor who purchases livestock for slaughter shall make full payment of such livestock, by the transfer of collected funds to the seller’s account, within two business days from the delivery of such livestock to the processor.

For purposes of this section, “business day” means any day which is a business day under the provisions of Section 9 of the Civil Code.
