Short Title and Definitions

Known as the The California Marketing Act

The act spans §§ 58601–59293 (223 sections).

Enacted by Stats. 1967, Ch. 15.

“Seafood” means shellfish and every other form of animal or plant life which is taken from fresh or salt water and used for human consumption, except seafood which is used for canning, retorting, reduction, or used in an extraction process.
