Cal. Gov. Code § 14922

Upon request of any state agency, the Director of General Services may assign competent personnel to work directly with such state agency at such locations as the agency shall designate in order that such personnel shall become familiar with the particular problems of such agency and that the purposes of this chapter can be best accomplished.
