Private Records, Privileged Materials, and Other Records Protected by Law From Disclosure

Known as the California Public Records Act

(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this division to the contrary, information regarding transportation network company drivers, as defined by Section 7470.2 of the Business and Professions Code, that is submitted to the Public Employment Relations Board pursuant to the Transportation Network Company Driver Labor Relations Act (Chapter 10.7 (commencing with Section 7470) of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code), is not subject to public disclosure pursuant to this division and shall not be disclosed by public officials except as provided by other state or federal law.

(b) This section does not prohibit or limit the disclosure of information otherwise required to be disclosed under the Transportation Network Company Driver Labor Relations Act (Chapter 10.7 (commencing with Section 7470) of Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code) to an officer or employee of a public agency when necessary for the performance of the officer’s or employee’s official duties.
