Cal. Gov. Code § 8817

California Public Broadcasting Commission

Known as the Public Broadcasting Act

The act spans §§ 8800–8846 (46 sections).

Added by Stats. 1975, Ch. 1227.

(a) The commission shall adopt and enforce reasonable standards governing the acceptance of any salary or other compensation by its employees from sources other than the commission during the course of their employment by the commission.

(b) The executive secretary, subject to general policies adopted by the commission, may appoint or remove, subject to civil service, such employees of the commission as deemed necessary to carry out the purposes of the commission.
