Cal. Health & Safety Code § 101275

Transfer of Environmental Health and Sanitation Services

Amended by Stats. 1996, Ch. 1023, Sec. 302.4

Notwithstanding Section 101260, a county board of supervisors may, with the concurrence of the director, transfer the total function of providing environmental health and sanitation services and programs to a comprehensive environmental agency of the county other than the county health department. The county shall continue to receive funds appropriated for the purposes of this article if it complies with all other minimum standards established by the department and if the environmental health and sanitation services and programs are maintained at levels of quality and efficiency equal to or higher than the levels of the services and programs formerly provided by the county health department.
