Cal. Health & Safety Code § 33740

Loans to Tax-Exempt Organizations

Known as the Community Redevelopment Law

Added by Stats. 1988, Ch. 1610, Sec. 2.

The Legislature hereby finds and declares that it would be beneficial to empower redevelopment agencies to issue tax-exempt revenue bonds for the purpose of lending the proceeds to nonprofit organizations exempt from federal income taxation pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (26 U.S.C. Sec. 501(c)(3)), for the housing purposes specified in Section 33741.
