Qualifications and Exemptions

Known as the Health Insurance Disclosure Act

Every person not expressly exempted by the provisions of this code that transacts life or disability insurance without a valid and unrevoked certificate of authority or without a valid and unrevoked certificate of exemption issued pursuant to this article is guilty of a misdemeanor. Every employee, officer, or agent of any person who knowingly assists any person in the transaction of insurance in violation of the provisions of this code, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
