Powers and Duties of Directors

Known as the Southern California Rapid Transit District Law

The act spans §§ 30000–33021 (249 sections).

Added by Stats. 1964, 1st Ex

In order to provide orderly transition from the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority (herein sometimes referred to as “authority”) to the district, it may be desirable for certain members or former members of the authority or the officers, advisors and staff thereof, or both, to serve in an advisory capacity to the board. The board may, in its discretion, establish an advisory board of the above-named persons or any others that it sees fit, provided that each member of such advisory board shall consent to serve and also that there shall be no compensation paid by the district to members of such advisory board.
