Cal. Pub. Util. Code § 740.18

Rates

Known as the Public Utilities Act

The act spans §§ 201–2120 (1,026 sections).

Added by Stats. 2020, Ch. 372, Sec. 2

(a) The purpose of this section is to require the commission to review, modify, if appropriate, and decide whether to approve, two pending (as of July 1, 2020) transportation electrification infrastructure applications, based on previously approved activities, that are designed to advance California’s goal of widespread transportation electrification, and to require the commission to extend its prior approvals of transportation electrification programs and investments so that they will be replicated and continued. These commission decisions will have the effect of continuing to build out California’s transportation electrification infrastructure, improve air quality, reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, create jobs, and put downward pressure on rates. Nothing in this section is intended to preclude the commission from adopting additional transportation electrification programs and investments.

(b) On or before March 1, 2021, the commission shall issue decisions concerning Application 18-06-015 (June 26, 2018) Application of Southern California Edison Company (U338E) for Approval of its Charge Ready 2 Infrastructure and Market Education Programs and Application 19-10-012 (October 28, 2019) Application Of San Diego Gas & Electric Company (U902E) To Extend And Modify The Power Your Drive Pilot Approved By Decision 16-01-045.
