Groundwater Management Authority

Known as the California Water District Law

The district may collect data and conduct technical and other investigations deemed necessary in order to carry out the provisions of this act. All hydrological investigations and studies carried out by or on behalf of the district shall be conducted by or under the supervision of licensed engineers or other persons qualified in groundwater geology or hydrology.
